The students have worked hard and well as a team. They have earned a class party!
It will be held next Friday (January 31st) for part of the day.
Please remind your child to bring a plastic plate and cup and a plastic bag for their dirty dishes. This is a zero waste party so no paper plates and cups please.
Your child may wear pyjamas, bring a blanket and pillow, and a stuffy if he/she would like to do so.
The following students volunteered to bring food and drinks. They all told me they have permission from their parents :)
Desserts: Georgia G, Rein, Kobe, Naveen
Snacks: Mateo, Cassidy, Parmpreet, Leah
Vegetable or Fruit Plates: Will, Mady, Ryan, Georgia S.
Drinks: Nicole, Aiden, Matthew, Cecelia
If each child brings enough food or drink for about 8 students, that should be plenty!
Thank you for your support.

Division 5 Made Donations to 2 Worthwhile Charities
If you didn't have a chance yet, please read the posts I wrote before the break. Briefly, the students researched and chose 2 charities to support, rather than spend the money on themselves. I'm very proud of them.
Happy New Year!
Welcome back to school in 2014! I hope everyone had a joyful and relaxing break spending time with your family and friends. Thank you for the thoughtful, sometimes warm, sometimes yummy gifts. Your kindness is appreciated. By the end of the week, each child will have a welcome back (thank you) card in his/her planner.
