No Bullying Here!

We do not bully and we stand up for those who are not treated well!

Drivers Needed, Please

At this time, we have enough drivers for 17 students to go to the SNAP Math Fair at Cap U on Friday March 7th.   Thank you Kelly (Georgia G's mom), Elizabeth (Matthew's mom), Joanna (Abi's mom), and Nir (Adam's dad).  I realize you are all busy, but we would really appreciate more drivers.  We will leave Brooksbank at 8:50 and leave Cap U at 10:30.  You are welcome to stay.  It's actually a lot of fun (and educational!)  Parking passes will be provided if you choose to stay.

Thanks very much.

Skiing and Other Fun Stuff

While some students have been shushing down mountain slopes others have been inventing their own Olympic events and creating brochures for Sochi.  They also participated in acting activities with Mike, an actor from Bard on the Beach.

Valentine's Day is Coming

Bringing valentines on Friday is optional, but students have been reminded that if they intend to bring valentines it is important that they bring one for everyone in the class. They were given a chance to copy the names of their classmates on a list today.  If they misplace it, a list can be found in your copy of the Brooksbank Student Directory.
I hope your Valentine's Day is sweet!

Classroom Chores

Classroom chores are necessary, sometimes messy, and sometimes

even fun!

A Historian Visits the Classroom

Division 5 students are becoming historians.  In the first lesson, students gathered information about Moodyville by studying old photos.  In today's lesson students examined artifacts to learn more about life in the past.  Next week old documents will be studied.  The students will also learn through an oral history of an event in Moodyville.

African Dancing

We were lucky to have an African dancer and drummer teach us traditional songs and dances from Cameroon.  All students were comfortable and excited about dancing!
