A Rainy Day, Mud, and an Opportunity to Create Food - What Could be more Fun?
The Grade 4/5s helped plant dwarf fruit trees in front of our school yesterday. Thank you Nicole, who delivered and helped us plant these gifts from Evergreen. You may have been surprised to see how eager many of your children were to work. When we come back after the break, the trees will hopefully be blossoming. A variety of types of apples will be ready to be eaten next fall.

Our Field Trip to AFK
If you haven't visited the new Artists for Kids Gallery, it is worth the time. The space is larger and there are many new pieces of art. The students seemed to enjoy the "march" to and from the gallery and were very engaged while there. They made very thoughtful observations and asked "thinking" questions about the art and artists. When you come for interviews next week, make sure you look at the artwork in the front hall by the office. The students' works were inspired by the art at the AFK.
