An Award for the Class

Our class was honoured to receive an award for our small part in creating a certified wildlife friendly habitat.  In Gerry's garden, we decorated the large pine tree at Christmas, and more recently students planted bee friendly plants and painted the fence outside the garden.  Thank you Bryan, Lukas A's dad, for your help with the painting!  The award we received was from the Canadian Wildlife Federation and Parks Canada.  We were given a certificate, window decal, and a sign which will be hung in the garden.  We were also offered a field trip to Van Dusen Gardens, but unfortunately the date didn't work for us.  Make sure you check out the fence paintings!
