Compound Machine Show and Tell

The students set up their machines in the library yesterday and classes filed through to see them.  Comments I heard from teachers included, "They really explained how the machines worked, using the names of simple machines and forces."  I heard students say, "... but I didn't get enough time to see all of them," and "I really like these."  One little boy in kindergarten went home and tried to duplicate a balloon popper.  I was proud to see our students trouble shooting as problems arose with their delicate machines.  By the end of the day they were exhausted but proud of themselves.  For now, I think they've all decided they do not want to run a booth in a trade show.

Thank you to the parents and grandparents who dropped by to view the machines and encourage the students, and thank you all again for your support with these projects.
